This fat cat is one of our store displays from back in the early 1980's. The tag has 1979 as the copyright. This jumbo Garfield was manufactured by Dakin. It has a beautiful form and lots of character.
I have to admit that I propped up the ears for the photo, but I believe, based on the construction of the ears, that they are meant to be floppy.
There is a small imperfection on the right eyelid where some of the paint got scrapped off the left eyelid. The mark in only about 1 inch long and you really don’t notice it until you start to study the closest details. The rest of this huge Garfield is in perfect condition. The front plastic Dakin tag is perfect, but the paper tag in the ear is faded.
If I were to ship this giant stuffed Garfield in would fit in a box 27" x 27" 24". Stuffed Garfield is so big that the shipping cost is equal to a 90 pound carton. It cost a lot to ship or pick it up in our toy store just west of Boston Ma.
